Analysis of Living Nightmare: An Anaphora

Living Nightmare: An Anaphora

Eyes fill, tears threaten, spill,
never ending waterfall, pain so real,
stabs deep, blood splattered, so red,
gut retching, monster feeding on entrails.
A dark stain, spreading rapidly, tainting the soul,
 deepening, thickening, consuming, so terrifying,
a happening so violent, eyes can never erase, so cruel,
monsters so real, hidden among men, trusted ones, exhale.
Glazed eyes filled with horror, gaze at bodies strung about,
children defiled, parents weeping, rage unbearable, so cold,
tears fall from the eyes of the betrayed, victims, so helpless,
in a room filled with people, yet the monster reached them.
Here in this place, the monster in nightmares, exists,
in the skin of man, he walks and talks, preying, so scared,
a bloody wake follows him, yet nothing heralds him, so weak,
the monster hiding in plain sight, so hard for one to fight.
Eyes filled with tears, falling in endless streams,
shame devouring the spirit, anguish the soul, so petrifying,
looking at the blood on the walls, emotions, so overwhelming,
the victims stands to leave, but stops as she sees, so many others.
