Analysis of Life

Back when I thought that everything was my fault
When I thought that I wasn't good enough
When the entire world was seemingly against me
I was a fool.
A fool that set her standards below what they should be
A fool that let life control her instead her of controlling life
But today, I am changed.
Things may happen that aren't meant to happen
Things may change that aren't meant to be changed
But that won't impact me
I laugh in the face of adversity
I dance in the field of life's difficulties
I sing in moments of happiness
And I love in times of despai
Life will no longer have hold over my emotions
The power has shifted
My bar has risen to the proper height
And my happiness is no longer dependent on others
I make my own happiness.
I make my own life.
