Analysis of Layers Of The Onion

Layers Of The Onion

We're much more than childhood
but nevermore the less
“Layers of the onion” are the overdress

We're much more than childhood
but at once it dictates
“Layers of the onion” merely mediates

We're much more than childhood
but frequently regress
“Layers of the onion” hinder the egress

We're much more than childhood
but former feelings last
“Layers of the onion” pinch emotions fast

We're much more than childhood
but root safeties abide
“Layers of the onion” shelter what's inside

We're much more than childhood
but early “firsts” remain
“Layers of the onion” the onus contain
