Analysis of Lament

The breeze rides in from the east
Heaving a heartbroken sigh.
Oh! How slowly the days go by!
Slowly the days go by.

The dawn greets the sky at morning
A mist veils over the sky.
Oh, how slowly the moments go by!
The agonized moments go by.

The clouds now wrap up the sun
The thunder now utters his cry.
Oh, the reproaching storm strikes by!
Languidly, rain-drops fall by.

Redness crawls from the horizon
The numbness of night is nigh.
Oh! How slowly the seconds rush by!
The mocking seconds rush by.

Icy, obscuring and smothering,
Darkness envelopes the eye.
Oh! The painful days drag by!
The torturous days drag by.

Our hopes are now regret.
Our dreams are now our torture.
Our precious, pointless years
Fly! fly! fly!

While all our lifetimes die
And all our lifetimes die.
So wasted, wasted, wasted...
