Analysis of Intimacy in the Night Cafe

In these moments, when our legs are aligned,
each eye will spy coffee bean delights.
Minds focussed for many seconds, as if selecting
from a roster of rotating smells; of dough here dealt -
Sometimes not, if a jangling till keeps slamming
clanging this ordered something into nothing.

This - cherished something - in the designated light,
a tiny blip of vibration; a play from the mortal day -
Curtain calls replayed by base or soprano murmurs;
warming a social winter into steaming life.
But when chaos shadows sweep precipices
there appear mountains that we all must climb -

So I took my walk opposite of where the hikers ordered -
this detour, a metre into randomness;
And found her heart surprised that I felt not denied
to any access of where her soul resides; this strangeness
- A naked tremble - nothing that the beaming moon
or stars in the sky would ever hide behind.
