Analysis of I'm Right Here Pt. 1

This isn't really a poem, more of a short story.

It's 6:13 a.m. I opened my eyes to realize I wasn't in my bed, but on the floor in someone else's house. My head was bleeding heavily. I have no idea where I am. I got up and looked around. Nothing looks familiar. I walked out a door and it went to the backyard. There's nothing here but dry grass. It's extremely foggy outside, I can't see anything but a few dull flashes of light. I begin walking to see what I could find. I feel the need to go find my family.

As I walk, things start to look familiar. I see an old house Ms. Jane and her son used to live in before it caught on fire. Her son died in the fire. This house used to be so full of life, now it's just scary and creepy. My house shouldn't be far from here.

I'm standing in my driveway. My mom's car is here, and so is my dad's. That's weird. It's 7 o'clock on a Wednesday morning. They should both be at work. I walk in and yell "Mom, Dad, I'm home!" No response, but I can hear them talking upstairs. I go to the kitchen to get a glass of water, but I can't seem to grab anything. It's almost like I lost every muscle in my body. I'll just wait until my little sister, Valentina, comes downstairs so she can do it for me.

I'm standing at the bottom of the steps so I can hear what my parents are talking about. My mom is crying and my dad is comforting her.
"I'm so worried about her, Vincenzo." I hear my mom say.
"Don't worry, Gina, she'll be home. I know she will." My dad replied.
"I am home!" I yelled up the stairs. Yet again, no response.
