Analysis of I'm Ready Now

Come on in out of the night air,
my it's funny how time can fly.
Sit down my friend and rest awhile,
I was hoping that you'd drop by.

Just yesterday I was thinking,
wondering when you'd get here.
For I've heard people bad mouth you,
and maligning you out of fear.

Among all my acquaintances,
you are unlike any other.
For you don't pretend to love me,
yet you treat me like a brother.

You have been accused of murder,
it's a shame what they've put you through.
Yet people need someone to blame,
and soon forget the good you do.

I'll be with you in a moment,
just give me time to catch my breath.
I thank you for all your patience,
ok I'm ready, let's go Death.
