Analysis of I miss you, Happy Birthday

You did not hug me as my last day came and went.
Leaving that day, I felt just a bit bent.
I still miss seeing your beautiful gaze
And the akward moment after each work related graze.
I wish I could have done more when I sensed the stress
But I was in no position, it would have ended in a mess.
It was a pleasure to work with somone as strong you
I hope good things come from all that you do.
At work I did not ever mean to overstay
But I just wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday!

(so this is a work in progress for a birthday for an old supervisor, there was chemistry but we never did anything or really came right out and said anything about it. Im hoping the poem is kinda fun and gets the friendship message across. Also Im new to poetry but I really want to start and maybe get into writing stories in the future too. Criticizm appreciated! I want to change this one to give to her.) (also my position was supposed to be temporary there, I ended up being there for almost 3 years)
