Analysis of How do I forgive? tell me!!

How do I forgive, all those things they've said.
This question used to pound around inside my head.
At times I thought I really had, but it keeps rising as I speak.
Filled with bitterness and anger it made me feel so weak.

I thought of many ways to retaliate, but it only made me sad.
Trying to make 2 wrongs right, I was so frustrated and mad.
But late one night I had a dream, that took me to a place.
Where I was standing before the judgment seat, this hurt I had to face.

Like thundering lights flashing, every time I lied.
Broken in my spirit, there's was nothing that I could hide.
With mighty angels surrounding me, they all began to say.
Here's a second chance to get it right, forgive yourself today.

And suddenly behind me, I felt a force so strong.
It's not your time my son, I'm sending you back home.
But there is one condition, that you let go of your past.
And I shall give you peace, but you must forgive at last.

And when I woke up from this dream, tears poured from my eyes.
I felt a peace come over me, with a look of amazing surprise.
What I learned about myself, in this poem I share.
I'm no longer bound with hate, upon God my burdens bare.

Life is short, I hope you hear, what's killing you inside.
Of all the thoughts that I would think, I never thought of my pride.
See, a prideful heart can never win, it takes away your peace.
And so right now I'm feeling great, forgiveness I released!
