Analysis of Homeland

lying in the subway, holding back the tears.
trying to forget about all those lonely years.
snowdrops keep falling, tears roll down my face.
memories come flooding back of that long forgotten place.
a land full of hate and sorrow,a country full of strife.
but its the place that gave me the best years of my life.

oh i wish i was back in my homeland once again.
where the land is free and everyone was my friend.
where peaceful waters flow and never end.
how i wish i was back in my homeland once again.

beaten by morality what the hell is that.
you know im trying to discover where the hell im at.
years go by so slowly when your on your own.
i wish i could turn the clock back to when i was at home.
