Analysis of He kept writing anyway
they insisted he had lost all reason
that those years writing poetry
had poisoned his mind to believe
all life held beauty and joy
even in the midst of pain and sorrow
but he kept writing verses anyway
raved about the softness of the aster
the fluttering wings of swallows
Skies blue as the eyes of God
Oak leaves vibrantly green
When the end came some say
He proved his madness by shredding
His poems into a fine white confetti
Which he emptied from his window
Like snowflakes onto the street below
