Analysis of From A Phone Booth

I called you from the bar the other night
To let you know that I'm alright
You wondered if something was wrong
It's just we hadn't talked in so long

So, how are you doing..what's the story?
You are seeing the guy you saw before me?
I hope that you are doing fine
And I wish that you were still mine

You didn't know what to think when I moved?
I understand..I'm trying to find my groove
You say you don't need me anymore?
The man you are with you adore

I didn't leave you much choice
It was good to hear your voice
Please..don't cry
Bye, bye
