Analysis of Free Choice

Gravity's losing its hold
And I'm slipping smack out of orbit
The familiar, though sparsely doled
Has become fearsomely morbid
Beliefs and values once held
And philosophies thought to be true
This time is fresh grist to be milled
Now to embrace or eschew
A course, uncharted, the choice
And I'm stepping on cracking, thin ice
Listen to the internal voice
This counsel received must suffice
All past perceptions aside
Embracing brand new ways of linking
Risking the experimental tide
Enlightened levels of thinking
Levity is lifting high
And I'm feeling somehow oddly light
The unexplored is worth a try
Though pathless in the darkest night
