Analysis of Fourteen Tree Hill

Fourteen Tree Hill

Do you remember that hill we used to climb
with fourteen flowering dogwood trees
on late Spring days with the fresh sunshine
and white blossoms strewn across the grass.

Do you remember the way we held hands
and helped each other up that hill
the laughter whenever we slipped and fell
and hugged each other as we stood again.

I'll never forget rolling around together
getting covered with soft white blossom
you laughed with me and loved me wildly
simplicity and joy ruled our happy lives.

The fourteen tree hill still sands as it ever did
the Flowering Dogwoods still grow there
at the top there is a new a daisy covered mound
wherein you my love shall lie forever more.
