One For The Ladies

Yesterday I was told
By a poet so very bold
That my writing is lovemaking
And ladies hearts I am taking.

So sorry if it's true
And I've made love to you
If I left you high and dry
Then let me have another try.

Ladies please don't mind
If my poems you will find
Quite dull and not exciting
But to me that's quite disquieting.

But if on the other hand
My words are far from bland
Then lie down with me my sweet
Let me cause your heart to beat.

Let my words caress your mind
Your heart to mine let me bind
Lay back my pretty little dove
Let me make with you sweet love.

And when it all is done
And my words have all gone
I hope it's your soul I've won
And that you might be the one!
