Analysis of Fidelity
It’s over, done, ended,
I’ve messed everything up,
Perfect pieces crumble from my hands.
I wish I was remorseful,
But the truth is something less
Tearing me away
From those blessed.
For once, memories haunt me
Bend me, break me, taunt me,
And I can’t seem to get it out
Of my head.
Nothing is forgotten
Of that time so rough and rotten.
I can’t help it now,
The past is gone and dead.
Permanent nausea settles in my gut,
I’m lost, confused, and more.
There’s nothing more to say,
I suppose I’ll start anew
Living this strange life without you.
I’ve been ungrateful and unfaithful,
And I’m sorry that I hurt you.
