Smokes
of cigarettes
and mugs
full of coffee,
next
to the fictitious line
where the eddy
of words
leans against
and nods,
wounded,
to my silence.

Dimitris P. Kraniotis

Dimitris P. Kraniotis was born in 15 July 1966 in Larissa Prefecture in central Greece and he originates from Stomio (Larissa) where he grew up. He studied Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece). He lives in Larissa (Greece) and works as a medical doctor (internal medicine specialist physician). He is the author of 9 poetry books in Greece and abroad: “Traces” (1985), “Clay Faces” (1992), “Fictitious Line” (2005, “Dunes” (2007), “Endogram” (2010), “Edda” (2010), “Illusions” (2010), “Leaves Vowels” (2017) and “Tie of Public Decency” (2018). Also he is the Editor-in-chief of the international anthology in English “World Poetry 2011” (205 poets from 65 countries). He has won many international awards for his poetry which has been translated in 25 languages and published in anthologies & magazines in many countries around the World. He was invited and he has participated in several International Poetry Festivals. He is Doctor of Literature by World Academy of Arts and Culture (WAAC), Academician in Italy, President Emeritus of World Congress of Poets and President of 22nd World Congress of Poets (Greece 2011) by United Poets Laureate International (UPLI), President of World Poets Society (WPS), Director of Mediterranean Poetry Festival (Larissa, Greece), Chairman of the Writers for Peace Committee of PEN Greece, Ambassador of Movement “Poetas del Mundo” to Greece and member of World Poetry Movement (WPM), Hellenic Literary Society, National Society of Greek Literary Writers, etc. His official website: http://www.dimitriskraniotis.com more…
