Analysis of Fatherless

*FATHERLESS*
All i know is his steps
Down the stairs and up the hall way
As he leaves the house for work
Not until
Late at night
When hes back battered and tired
And am left to ask myself
Do I have a father
Or am I any better than the fatherless orphan.

Dad I dont need you to work,
To work extra hours so I eat like a prince
To work extra hours to get me designer clothes
Coz dad am running out of places to keep them

Sorry dad,
But the gap i feel in me
Cant be filled by all you buy

All I want is you by me
On the couch as we watch my favourite movie
In the dining as we take delicious dinner
On the park as we take a walk
Just like you did
Back then when i was young

And then I can say I have a father.
