Analysis of excerpt 45
Cannabis bliss came from indulging in
fragrances of resin by-products. It was
much thriftier solution, and it was the
norm for many inhabitants in the
metropolis.
In my granny's hamlet it was a bit different.
A unique taste of home brandy was made
from wild mirabelle, and other fruits widely
spread, growing at the edge of unpaved
dusty narrow alleyways.
It was the spin-off there.
When fruits ripened, home made brandy
was made, but also a unique sweet soup
was made out of those plums. I could
taste the non-pesticides freshness in
my mouth. Organic at its paramount points.
And without evading words, my granny
use to make a really yummy soup.
Granny was also highly proficient at
home brewing, and she had an illigal brewing
device made of brass. It was illegal to possess
one, since brass was not available for
sale on the open market. Procurements
were dubious. She kept her device hidden in the roof.
Brewing was done night time, since the vapors
emitted smelled from miles away.
And just like my granny, based on kindred
confessions, many custodians filled up
little bottles with various home brewed spirits
in the helmet, to tranquilize the little ones,
due to hunger before the bedtime, or perhaps
just to calm them down when aggressive.
It was excellent solution to block the
dopamine nervous receptors. Not a doctor,
just saying as it use to be. Numbing emotions
like they knew best. It was the beginnings of a
lifetime vocation for the unfortunate ones,
including a loved one in my kindred, and
I hate to say this, it could be me too…
