Analysis of Demands Of The Gadianton Society
In the sixteenth year following the signs of the birth of God's Holy Son,
Lachoneus, the govenor, among his letters, received an important one.
Giddianhi, wrote, with boasting words, of the strength of the robber band.
"You Lamanites and Nephites surrender- against us ye cannot stand!"
A proclomation was made that all should cry unto The Lord,
and arm themselves for defense, with cimiter, bow and sword.
Gidgiddoni was appointed chief captain of their united troops.
Into the cities Bountiful and Zarahemla, people gathered by groups.
They brought in the aged, and women and children as well.
A spirit of repentence among their throngs began to swell.
They prepared the best they knew how, but trusted not to man.
They knew they needed God's help to make a successful stand
