Analysis of Chronology
The last time I saw her it was winter
the numbness of draft to suffice
as a memory
for this moment in time
need not be remembered fondly
the first time I saw her
it was summer
for a moment I had the delusion
you were someone I knew
as our eyes locked into place
we spoke of numerous topics
that summer night
on that winter day our words were few
and as cold as the air we breathed
was there a lesson to be ascertained?
or was it modestly being incinerated
by a moment in time
on a summer night?
right now, as this moment is brought to bare
I would have to say.....yes
