Analysis of Cast Away
So I've been cast away, but now what is left?
We keep tender hearts and carry our regret?
Forever the past, will always stain my mind.
Even if we don't believe it, there's no way to rewind.
But we'll carry on pretending that we're fine.
Always just pretending that we never crossed that line.
You're still stashed away in the darkest parts of my heart.
In that place both my love and hate tear me apart.
The future still lies ahead. So, I can not fade away.
Abandoned and alone despite what you say.
I can not hear your voice and I can not see your face.
All I have remaining is all my disgrace.
All that I love shattered just like glass.
My greatest joys now scars from the past.
Eventually I'll think that life's wonderful again.
But, then I'll turn around and lose my only friend.
