Analysis of Broken Wing, Broken Will

Poor, sweet bird,
we found you,
your ability
to fly broken
away by the
careless hands
of universal fate,
your will
whisked away
like a spider’s
web in the
cleanest house.
Little
did we know
your cheerful
beak would stop
its constant chatter,
your talons
would grip no more,
holding fast
only to Death.
