Analysis of Broken Possibilities
It's simply the not knowing,
That causes so much pain.
The questions left unanswered,
The riddles of the game.
I'd rather hear the word good-bye,
Then I can stop resisting.
For when the answer is unclear
I wonder what I'm missing.
End it now, staunch the wound,
And let me start anew.
For if I'm not the one you want,
I'll wish that one for you.
So leave me not in limbo,
Like a sailor lost at sea.
For if you can not give me love,
Please set my poor heart free.
The future's so uncertain,
And love's a fleeting goal.
If you and I are not a pair,
The know you've touched my soul.
