Analysis of Black & White 1/6/08

Have you ever wondered what its like to be both? Both black and white. Nobody dose. They just push out their judgements. On paper Im black. To some Im not. To others "one drop and your black". and they all say "thats society".  Why should it make me lesser of a black woman cause my momma's white? Cause I listen to Rock? Cause my husband and daughter have blue eyes and blond hair? Why dose any of this matter? Someone once told me that whatever I told them held no ground cause im not black like them, so I'll never understand what its like to be hated or subjected to someones prejudice. Dont you think I'm getting that right now. It's sorry when someone is hated by their own people. It hurts on another level. If the one thing you hate is for a white person to make you feel inadequate. Why would you do that to your own. But WAIT. I forgot I'm not black. Im white mixed with black. Im yellow. Im redbone. I wish people would stop looking at the outside and start on the inside. How can I betray my race by marrying a white man? When thats also me. Im tired of hearing "She's White"?!?! when I show people a picture of my daughter. Why is that such an astonishment? Is that so hard to believe? Because my bestfriend is white people automaticly think I dont like black people. Because I listen to Rock Im told I dont know anything about being black, That I aint ever seen the projects. Or have nerve to go into the Ghetto. Well their wrong. Dont hate me cause my skin is caramel. Cause my hair is long and curly. Dont ask me if I got naps. Really?  Look at me. At my soul. Im proud of who I am. My father is Black & Cheeroke and my mother is White. Im forever gonna LOVE me for me. This is bascially what happens when people cant handle the fact that they have met someone who dosent hate. Someone who never based an option on someone cause of the color of thier skin. I wish everyone was like that. THE WORLD WOULD BE SO MUCH BETTER.
