Analysis of Behind Belief’s Facade

I'm the Devil, but I'm also God,
when I look within I find me there.
And hiding behind belief's facade,
I'm alone with only me to care.

Evil dwells within my darkest parts,
for my ego always places me first.
Yet goodness thrives in my heart of hearts,
for I'm the best and I am the worst.

While creating good I invented bad,
for I'm both free and religious slave.
For unbridled joy lapses into sad,
believing nothing lies beyond the grave.

I'm both the beginning and the end,
a mix of sinner and contrition.
A reality and fantasy blend,
I am hope and I am division.
