Analysis of Baggy Britches Cowboys

I went to an old country bar,
I hadn't been to in twenty years.
Just out hanging with friends,
And sucking down a few beers.

The country music I once enjoyed,
Had changed quite a bit.
But the place was crowded,
And we struggled for a place to sit.

There was baggy britches cowboys,
With water bottles in their hands.
Flooded with under aged females,
Which put a damper on my plans.

Hardly anyone danced together.
They just line danced alone.
They had ATM's and I-pods,
And everyone had a cell phone.

I had on the only set of real boots,
And I was feeling like I didn't belong.
Because all the guys had on girl socks,
And they never played one Haggard song.

But I managed to drag her out there,
And dance a few times around the floor.
Realizing how out of shape I was,
And knowing in the morning I'd be sore.

But as always, I cowboy'd up
And managed to close the place.
Leaving those baggy britches cowboys
With just a little of history's face.
