Analysis of Apart
It's so hard to be apart.
It only leaves an emptiness in my heart.
I yearn for your warm embraces.
Like a gambler for a hand of aces.
Your skin is so soft and warm
Like a summer's day before a storm.
I miss the oceans in your eyes.
Envious are the stars in the skies.
I miss your smile, I miss your grin.
I especially miss you cute little chin.
Without you my blood runs cold.
Like someone forgotten and old.
It's you of whom I dream
But it evaporates like water to steam.
I awake to a cold empty bed.
Meanwhile thoughts of you fill my head.
I am cold as are many men.
I shall stay warm with thoughts of
Being with you again.
