Analysis of Antaeus
Antaeus was a giant
with extraordinary strength.
His power came from Mother Earth
when "rooted" in her length.
Antaeus was a wrestler
who challenged all to tussle.
He beat those who crossed his path
when engaged in scuffle.
Antaeus held a secret
that endowed in him great verve.
His conquests came from Mother Earth
when "grounded" in her serve.
Antaeus was confident
that he could suffer no loss.
He became supercilious
believing he was boss.
Antaeus was defeated
by Herculean behest.
His downfall came from Mother Earth
when "lifted" from her breast.
