Analysis of Alone
Alone I sit here in darkness,
thinking over the past.
People came and people went,
Raising many expectations.
Some looked by, some stood by,
But none remained forever.
I still have tears in my eyes and am
unable to forget the memories.
Knowing very well that it's of no avail.
I still have the scars afresh,
Scars made by many a friend.
Scars made fresh by many others,
I am hurt,
But still reach out
To be hurt again.
Life has been unfair to me,
But still I hope to find someone dear
Someone true.
But still I am alone.
