Analysis of Almost Over You
I muttered your name one last time
As I remember our nights
I tried to erase your memory in mine
As I gently pull you out of my mind
It's a good thing we had no pictures
No love notes to remember
It's better we had only ourselves
To remember in all these sorrows
I erased your number on my cell phone
Trying not to remember the combination
For you see with you, I had been in trouble
Getting over you will be better.
As I am almost over you I just pray
For all my prayers to be finally heard
No longer will you call back and say
"I love you. . .I want you back!"
Almost there, at the end of our road
Almost there with my heart's sorrowful world
Don't look back anymore
For I AM almost over YOU.
