Analysis of "sorry is not enough"

In life there is but one chance,
one fleeting moment that has escaped me,
for this I am sorry to be the last to know.
In relation to your silent sedation of my unyielding attention.
If I were to say good-bye it would only be but a lie as it has so many times before.
Now, I am on the brink having broken at the bend.
Your actions spoke louder than my words and for this sorry is not enough.
