Analysis of The Cloak Bearer
My mind swarms as all that I expected reveals itself true.
Betrayal in blatant light, burning holes into heart.
My fears manifest into a shroud, dawned by you.
Black and heavy, this dark cape warns me to keep distance.
You wear it with ease, not collapsing under its endless weight.
You share a smile with the shadow from my past, the demon that you were aware of.
I turn my back, refusing to be drawn into the growing darkness of you.
As I move towards a glowing freedom, I can feel the gravity behind me bubbling.
I cover my ears, just in case.
I told you you would scream.
