Analysis of His Sad Soul

I reminisce to when I was me
In love, happy and carefree
To before dark news were had and shared
My soulmate and his sad soul

His soul was clean and pure and true
Yet sad and pained and troubled too
Just out of view his sad soul hid
In desperate need of love

As I came to him he began to talk
The truth of how his life had locked
I smiled and held him through his pain
Innocent of how it would stain

It took some time to reach my mind
But once it did it stained for life
Now I have a burden to bear
But never mine to tell and share

I tried to help him through the days
He seemed happy but I was still afraid
Time to time we would connect
Feel the warmth of good times had

Like a feather I never know
Just what wind will blow him north
Did I do bad and help to sad him
Or was his sad soul for a long time drowning

Maybe in a year or four
The pain will numb and I'll be free some more
But till then his sad soul will burn me
For all my rights and wrongs

Never let this happen to you
The pain and guilt will bury you
It will toss and turn you through the night
And wont be gone by the daylight
No it wont be gone by the daylight
