Analysis of Sun

You disappear as the moon starts to shine. Despite knowing you would leave once again, as you do every night. I waited for your warmth and light.
As you leave, I become dull and slump. Hoping that the next day, you will still rise up. The nightlight doesn’t shine as bright as you. I think the moon becomes jealous of what you do.
As the moon starts to fade away, I fill with excitement. Knowing you are here to stay. You begin to rise, as do I. My face meets with yours and the world begins to cry. They will never understand the joy that you bring me inside.
With you, I stand taller and brighter. As I indulge in every beam of light you shine upon me, know that you are the key to my growth. My cells scream “grow, grow higher, reach for the sky” as if they don’t already know that I try.
You give your light to the rest of the world, but no one’s experience is the same or even close to mine. I long for your touch, the warmth that you bring. It makes me believe in hearing the church bells ring.
You never fail to let me down, even on the rainiest of days. Because I know somewhere, behind those clouds, your beams of light continue to blaze. I cannot comprehend how lucky I am that God has allowed me to be in your presence.
As the day is progressing, my heart starts stressing. Obsessing over the time I have with you. Just the thought of you, makes me coo. If only they knew how you make me feel, maybe they would feel the magic too.
To long for your touch is an understatement. Maybe that is why I clutch to the very thought of being able to be held in your arms. My heart swells when I think of you. It’s almost as though our minds are in sync because when I think of you, that is when you give a wink.
So here I am sitting, reminiscing on our time together. Thinking about how much I will be missing you when you are gone. Wishing that once, just once, I could be kissing you for all of eternity.
The day is almost done, and the moon begins to come after my happiness. The light you bring to my life is quite nothing like the world has ever seen before. Despite you being miles and miles away, loving you is never a question.
Loving you is the answer to all my fears about what life holds for me. Years and years could go by but there will never be a day where I don’t continue to pray about being able to see you whenever I please. Knowing that you are always here with me, puts my heart at ease. I am begging you please, don’t leave.
As the moon begins to settle, a petal starts to fall. Now I stand here, alone at night, patiently waiting for your warmth and light.
