Analysis of The Majesty of Death
Do you think death is dark?
No you’re wrong, it is bright.
More clear than the brightest day;
It shines with an intense light.
Do you think death is frightening; ugly?
You’re wrong, it is beautiful; divine.
It is so pretty as pretty can be;
As sweet as the sweetest of wines.
It is as eventual as days to come
As certain as ends of each nights.
It is the truth surpassing all trues;
A right encompassing all rights.
So, why the sadness all around?
When this dearest calls to you,
Why try so hard to escape and fight?
For a tiny; brief winter dew.
When deaths bright light soon arrives
Full of mighty loving heat,
And the winter dew will vanish along
The great unknown shall you meet.
