Analysis of Covid-19

You came from nowhere
You locked my pleasures somewhere
You caused mayhem everywhere.

Ah, my long built courtesy crushed in a moment?
I'm now scared of my own.
Gripped in fear like I owe.
 COVID they call you,
Distinguished with 19.
Together, it is called COVID-19

The streets are empty,
The crowds are now small.
There is no trace of human outside, not a single soul.
Everybody is locked up in their homes and they call it quarantine.

Even the play grounds that use to be sunny,
Now looks bleak. They call it isolation.
I asked a question,
Why is the world looking so desolate?

What a silly question. Yes!, Even a toddler knows the answer to such a question.
There is an unforeseen killer out there,
That can even make breathing difficult and your world look like hell.

It looks tinier than the cells in our bodies.
But causing everlasting pandemic in the world.
It causes wreak havoc once it enter your body.
Coughing and sneezing now becoming the order of the day.
They run off your body like a private jet.

Socialisation is now becoming a thing of the past.
Even visitors are not being allowed into our homes.
They are now treated as unwelcome virus.

Are we ever going to be free?
When are we seeing our friends and loved ones again?
When are we seeing the Dawn arrive?
These are questions I ask myself each day.

Because self isolation is all I feel now.
Come on, let's keep calm, hope and await that day.
Where total liberation from this stranger drinking life out of many lives will come.
Then, freedom and quarantine will part ways forever.
