Analysis of Midnight in Sitka Park



The silence of the park
seizes the hour of dusk,
where majestic snow-capped
 mountains adjoin the skies of midnight blue;
a halo of light encircles the quiescent scene
which highlights a child's red jacket left behind
at the end of the slide.

The playground is the sanctuary of childhood
beginning and childhood ending;
it is where laughing and yelling are allowed to be,
especially at midnight when the spirits of
frolicsome adventure overtake the child in all of us.
