Analysis of Rising Tide

Loving words of wisdom
covered by the rising tide
trapped between the moon and sky
with nowhere else to hide

Submerged beneath the crashing waves
fragmented in the sand
swept along the water's edge
by someone's ghostly hand

Plunged from light to darkness
like pebbles all entombed
thrown inside the mighty sea
in which they are consumed

But whirlpools of emotion
float away with thoughts that churn
underneath the rolling surge
one day they will return
