De ses grands yeux chastes et fous
Il ne reste pas un vestige :
Ces yeux qui donnaient le vertige
Sont allés où nous irons tous.

En vain, ils étaient frais et doux
Comme deux bluets sur leur tige ;

Quelquefois, par les minuits roux
Pleins de mystère et de prestige,
La morte autour de moi voltige,
Mais je ne vois plus que les trous
