Analysis of Les Prunelles

Maurice Rollinat 1846 (Châteauroux) – 1903 (Ivry-sur-Seine)



Ces prunelles bleu violet,
Dans le buisson plein de murmures,
N’ont qu’un terne et laiteux reflet
Auprès du noir luisant des mûres ;
Pas de guêpe au long corselet.

Mais voici que maint oiselet
S’éveille et descend des ramures
Pour picorer, tant qu’il lui plaît,
        Ces prunelles.

Comme des grains de chapelet,
Elles sortent rondes et pures
D’un fouillis de vertes guipures ;
Les prés sentent le serpolet,
Et l’aube ouvre dans l’air follet
        Ses prunelles.
