Archange féminin dont le bel œil, sans trêve,
Miroite en s’embrumant comme un soleil navré,
Apaise le chagrin de mon cœur enfiévré,
Reine de la douceur, du silence et du rêve.

Inspire-moi l’effort qui fait qu’on se relève,
Enseigne le courage à mon corps éploré,
Sauve-moi de l’ennui qui me rend effaré,
Et fourbis mon espoir rouillé comme un vieux glaive.

Rallume à ta gaîté mon pauvre rire éteint ;
Use en moi le vieil homme, et puis, soir et matin,
Laisse-moi t’adorer comme il convient aux anges !

Laisse-moi t’adorer loin du monde moqueur,
Au bercement plaintif de tes regards étranges,
Zéphyrs bleus charriant les parfums de ton cœur !
