Unveiling Pain should I Ink My Sorrow?
The field awaits, with clouds overhead, Mom's wisdom: smile through pain, tears unshed. Yet beneath laughter, a tempest brews deep, How do I heal when my tormentor roams, not asleep?
How do I move on when the past won't recede, Pillows hold secrets, diaries plead. Dry are my tears, buried is my plight, Unseen scars, hidden from sight.
No more shall my thighs, nor wrists bear the pain, No more tears, night after night, in vain. Should I etch his cruelty onto paper's page, Will you still see me, beyond this rage?
Should I reveal my struggle, my ten-year plight, Should I confess my self-loathing, my inner fight? Should I unveil my scars, for the world to see, Blaming myself, for not breaking free?
Ever felt the embrace of death's cold breath, Should I reveal the depth of my scars, in death?
Lend me pen and paper, to tell my tale, To lay bare my pain, beyond the veil. He didn't hurt, he took my life away, Ink my sorrow, for the world to convey.
