Analysis of Gone To Fade
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Gone to fade away its culture.
Once vibrant and bright.
With an array of ethnic colors.
Until the presence,
Of envy and jealousy interfered.
Establishing,
Who most should reflect and choose...
The face of its greatness.
Heroic to fiction.
With an appearance,
Sold to sell and kept to delude.
Gone to fade away the truth.
Once so vibrant and bright.
Various faces shown to highlight,
The richness of this mixed culture.
Diminishing in sight.
With a meant intention to exclude,
A culture based,
Without the participation...
Of non white faces.
To sacrifice their place.
Historically replaced.
Purposely ignoring to evaluate the truth.
And the reality of it.
To keep secret a culture that has achieved,
A greatness explored.
Yet not kept to appreciate more!
All...
Of its contributing participants,
As honorable citizens to respect!
And accept as is.
To keep a greatness that way from fading.
