Analysis of bring me home

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

Bring me home, sing me a sweet child lullaby to send a smile to my face, bring me home, for I no longer belong here, bring me home to the place I was born, for I have more lessons to learn and bridges to burn to get me home for if this dream I can tell you that I do not want it to give me the love of my reality so I can set myself free.

Bring me home to the angels that saved me, for I have a story to tell about my heaven and their hell, and I fell into this world. Bring me home to the place I understand and hold my hand as I close my mind to a deep sleep.

Bring me home; they are calling me by my government name, and truth be told, it no longer seems the same, and I don't have the slightest clue who to blame, so I will blame the rain and not myself. Bring me home so I can hang my hat of wisdom on the shelf, so get me on the downtown bond train. I want to say my hellos and goodbyes, for I have a million questions about why there's sand in my hand to bring me home to the answer of why the rain washes everything away that was not meant to stay
