Analysis of Ready to die

I can not lie
I'm ready to die
I drink spirits
I do get high
I still feel pain
I wonder why
Life is hard
All I do is cry
I split my arm
Like a piece of pie
Yet I'm still here
Like I did not try
I wrote a letter
To say Goodbye
I read it later
It made me sigh
God said you have a purpose
And the devil is a lie
You will live for me
Until I'm nigh
