Analysis of BOTTOMLESS PIT

Do you know why I smile all the time?
Because I know the end of the fall,
I hit the bottom of the bottomless pit,
Yet here I am now among the clouds.

I don't know which is worse,
The long helpless fall,
Or the hit that breaks you into a million pieces,
Yet here I am now, among the clouds.

I smile all the time because the worst is behind me,
The biggest fears of my life, I have lived,
The bottomless pit swallowed me whole,
Yet here I am now, among the clouds.

I smile because I survived the fear of the fall,
I overcame the fear of heights as I fell through the darkness,
Many miles down for years without wings,
Yet here I am now, among the clouds.

I smile because I survived the fall,
The echoes of my screams didn't drive me insane,
The heaviness of the tangible darkness didn't crush me,
Yet here I am now, among the clouds.

I smile because I survived the the hit,
All the million pieces retained a part of my soul,
Broken and scattered yet somehow more connected than ever,
Yet here I am now, among the clouds.

I smile because I know nothing can kill me,
The strength of my soul is well known to me,
Even when my legs are stuck at the bottom of the bottomless pit,
My soul is always among the clouds.
