Analysis of The Sinner's Prayer...

I come before you from my heart with a prayer,
For I know you are here for me and that you care.
My life is filled with sorrow instead of joy,
I've played off my whole life as if it were a toy.
I know you're out there every night and day,
I have sinned in my life in every possible way.
I had you in my life and like a fool I just walked away,
It was the stupidest thing I could've ever done - what else can I say?
I had the chance to tell people about you and I let the chance pass by,
Afterwards I felt so guilty I would break down and cry.
I fell into the trap of lust and my life began to fall apart,
I fell deeper and deeper to the bottom of life's chart.

The Devil has me convinced that it was love and meant to be,
The Devil is very famous for his lies - oh Lord I now can see.
The sins I have committed has my guilt tearing away at my heart,
I need to talk about forgiveness, I just don't know where to start.
I'm not good enough for Heaven I know this to be true,
My sins have been many, My prayers have been too few.
You brought me a mother who loved me and took care of me the best,
But I didn't realize  how much I needed her until after she was laid to rest.
My own kids don't care about me no matter how hard I try,
I let them down I guess thou I don't know when or why.
I have failed in life far more than I can ever succeed,
Maybe I should give up on my life - I should do that indeed.

I'm so confused Lord so I come to you for to pray,
I confess my sins oh Lord to you above - to you on this day.
I have fallen short of you Lord - short of the glory of God,
I come to you now my Lord Jesus on my knees - my head I will nod.
I pray for your forgiveness for the sins I have committed in my day,
I come to you thru my poem - for me it is my own personal way.
Forgive me oh Lord for I have made a mess out of my life,
I lift my life up to you my Lord to take charge of including my wife.
I know you paid the price for my sins that day on the cross,
You came back in three days to show the whole world who was boss.
I thank you Lord for what you did for me on that very long day
I owe you everything I have and are in every single way.
I kneel before you Lord for you are once again my Lord and King,
Thank you for your forgiveness - I now owe you my everything!
In your word I have read; ask and you shall receive,
I feel in my heart it's true - for once again and forever - I believe!

Thank you for forgiving me oh Lord - for even thou I did deceive,
I feel your love in my life Lord - your guiding light I did receive.

Please take charge of my heart, my body, my soul, my spirit, and my mind,
So much that when people look at me - it is only you they will find.

I shall end my poem now Lord - I feel you in my heart it's true,
Thank you for your forgiveness Lord...I'll always love you!

In Jesus name we ask this and pray...and all God's people said...Amen!
