Analysis of A Talk Just To Talk

James Groseclose 1983 (United States)

Hows the day going?
Whats with the weather?
It aint so bad
It'll get better

Hows the family?
Hows the ole truck run?
At the end of the day
It still gets it done

Maybe its about nothing
Maybe its about life
Maybe its just a few words
Just to pass the time
Maybe its needed
Maybe theres nothing wrong
But its a talk just to talk
Just to keep going on

It aint gotta be direct
That aint easy to do
To open up like that
After what you've been through

But sometimes its needed
Even if its about nothing
You know that your not alone
And thats more than something

Maybe its about nothing
Maybe its about life
Maybe its just a few words
Just to pass the time
Maybe its needed
Maybe theres nothing wrong
But its a talk just to talk
Just to keep going on

Hows your day?
How bout this weather?
Hows things going?
How can i help to make it better

Lets sit and talk
About whatever you want
I aint leaving here
You wont see me gone

Maybe its about nothing
Maybe its about life
Maybe its comforting words
To help make it through rough times
Maybe its needed
Maybe theres something wrong
But its a talk just to talk
To help keep going on

Just a talk to talk
It's been needed all along

Just a talk to talk
To keep us going on
