Analysis of Uplifting into Survivor Mode

Uplifting Survivor Mode
By Arman Hoque

I should rewrite the poem of my life;
Before it cuts me like a knife.
Think positive and be the change.
Make adjustments and rearrange.

Be the man I want to see in the mirror;
Rearrange thoughts away from terror.
Be a beacon like I’ve always known I could be.
But when I’m empty my thoughts are of darkness;  I feel hollow ; a part of the man I should be.

I need darkness to fuel my wave up high;
Like a surfer needs something to crave up why?
Adrenaline rush is sometimes not enough…
Why couldn’t I be made of more sterner stuff?

Sometimes life gets you down till you frown;
I keep my head up to barely not drown.
That’s when I need to turn things around.
Survivor mode - It’s time to lock and load;
I’ve got to get with it or I might explode.

I’ve got to get in; break into the vault.
Realize there’s no reason - it’s nobody’s fault.
There’s no rhyme to the wind; no rhythm to the rain.
No reason to be playing any blame game.

I’m just a single soul, pouring my heart into word-
Making sense of a world that’s leaning to absurd.
On a positive note, there’s more to come from this.
There’s more words to come, may my next poem come from bliss.
